We are holding our second sociall of the year on Monday before Fun Factory - MUSICIANS MEET!!

If you play any instruments and want to find people to jam with, people to form a band with or chums that have the same music tastes as you then come along to The Kitchen in the union at 8pm this Monday!

Also, if you want to learn how to soundtech for bands, we will be setting up for our live bands in the side room, so it will be a good chance to learn how!

There will be lots of drinking, and definately Elves and Wizards - oh you will love this drinking game when you experience it. Followed by Fun Factory featuring live music from:

It was unbelievably busy last Tuesday at The Old Library, and we had a vast array of instruments too which was great to see! This week we have the NEW ADDITION of a stage piano for anyone to use! And it's probably going to be the last week before the new LMSers arrive - so it's a chance to jam and show them how it's done!!

So pop in to our good friend The Old Library for our regular Tuesday frolics. You know how we do things: everyone is welcome (aside from children - probably for the best) 8pm - Midnight, entry is free and there's always some pisshead to make the night eventful.

Firstly THIS THURSDAY we have the BIGGEST EVENT OF THE YEAR ON THE LMS CALENDAR - BATTLE OF THE BANDS FINAL 2010!!
Four bands are competing to win a slot to play at the Summer Ball, a recording prize from I-Choose Music and £250!! And it is a very eclectic mix in this years final. Competing will be:
##Romantic Rights - www.myspace.com/weareromanticrights - a very lively three-piece band with a strong electro vibe!
##The Age - www.myspace.com/theagebandcardiff - a four-piece rock/pop band with influences such as Queen, Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles!
##Whytel - www.myspace.com/whytel - a band that fuses infectious hip-hop beats with indie-pop stylings, showcasing an eclectic mix of genres!
##Llinos - www.myspace.com/llinosmusic - a female solo artist with folk influences that delivers a breath-taking and emotional performance!

So, get down to SOLUS at 7pm on THURSDAY 18th MARCH and vote which band you would like to see win BOB 2010, and play at the summer ball! The event will also feature guest DJs, and an appearance from a very special guest band too!

Tuesday - IRISH Kickback Open Mic Night @ The Old Library (and the last one for a while) -
We had an awesome week last week - over 190 people in for open mic so come on down again this week for cheap drinks and lots of IRISH acoustic music! Obviously it is St. Patricks Day as the clock turns to midnight at Kickback this week - so come armed with your fiddles and bodhrans and lets get jigging!
We have all the usual very cheap drinks offers:
